Dear Rosedale Member,
I have served for 12 very rewarding years as President of The Rosedale Conservancy and Chair of its Board. I am very proud of what the hard-working Board has accomplished over these many years — from acquiring the property to restoring it to health and beauty and making it a true “village green” for Cleveland Park. So it is with mixed emotions that I have decided to step down and hand the gavel to someone who can bring new energy and fresh insights to this critical neighborhood leadership role. Happily, we have on our Board someone ideally suited to fulfill that role: Jill Hall. In accordance with our Bylaws, I therefore resigned at our last Board meeting and Jill was unanimously elected President and Board Chair.
Jill has been an active member of the Board for eight years, during which she has served as Secretary and as organizer of many of our wonderful community events and parties. She has all the characteristics that are needed to keep Rosedale on the track to success as a neighborhood gathering place, as a rare place for dog lovers and their best friends to exercise, as a beautiful park, and as a financially viable institution. I am thrilled to be able to leave our beloved Conservancy in such capable and energetic hands.
I will continue to serve on the Board as President Emeritus for at least another two-year term, ready to help Jill in any way I can.
With thanks for your continuing support of Rosedale and with high hopes for the future,
Roger Pollak
