Since its establishment in 2002, the landscape at Rosedale has rebounded and a framework has been created to support this community-funded, public park for the future. Rosedale is supported solely by your generous contributions. It takes about $70,000 a year to maintain the park and host a growing number of community events. Costs include lawn, tree, and fence care; irrigation; insurance, events, and administrative costs.
Rosedale has completed a major project to remove invasive plants on the bank along Newark Street and replant the bank with native plants. The new native plants are attracting more song birds and pollinators to our park. We plan to explore other possibilities for adding native plants in other areas at Rosedale. This fundraiser will help make this possible. Fundraiser funds will also enable us to host even more events for the community. Your support will ensure that Rosedale will be a green, beautiful, and lively gathering place for the community for the years to come.
